When did you start riding?

I started riding at 3, I was a little monster!

 

What was your first pony?

My first pony was a Welsh Section A called 'Pixie'


What horses are you competing at present?

'Just Call Me Max', 'Patricia VI', 'Mystic Pearl', 'Tia Magenta', 'Woodstock' and 'Spudley'.

 

What has been the highlight of your career?

Winning the newcomers regional at the East Of England Show, qualifying for HOYS.

 

Who is your all time favorite horse and why?

'Romein', I won 2 Puissance's with him. He was brave and scopey, but I sadly lost him in 2009.

 

What do you enjoy most about show jumping?

Having a strong partnership with my horses and the buzz of the courses.

 

Do you ever get nervous?

Yes, at big shows, but I think it is good to get the adrenalin going!

 

Which one of your horses has the potential to be a superstar?

'Just Call Me Max', my 8 yard old homebred gelding. He is on the World Class Equine Pathway for horses that show Medal Winning Potential.

 

If you had not become a show jumper what other career path would you have taken?

I would love to have become a journalist

 

Were your family supportive of your career choice?

Yes, they have always been very supportive. I am lucky they have a keen interest in the sport.

 

Do you have any other pets?

I have a few dogs, but my little treasure is 'Betsey', my Jack Russell. She is the lorry dog and she likes to come everywhere with me.

 

Do you have any other hobbies?

I love shopping, concerts and going out with friends.

 

What is your favorite film?

A little embarrassing but, I would have to say 'Gone With The Wind'

 

Do you have any advice for a budding show jumper?

Work hard and be patient :)
